Swindon have lost their last two league fixtures

Steven Pressley admits he is unsure as of what to be expect from Swindon this weekend as the Robins head into the game off the back of two heavy defeats.

A 4-1 home reverse at the hands of Wigan Athletic on Good Friday was followed up with a 6-0 defeat at Glanford Park against Scunthorpe United on Easter Monday.

The Cod Army picked up a point at Chesterfield last weekend, and know a win in Wiltshire on Saturday will move them away from the relegation places.

Pressley said: “It’s difficult to know what to expect from Swindon on Saturday because they were going really well and then had setbacks against Wigan and Scunthorpe.

“I attended the game against Scunthorpe on Monday and it was a convincing home win which could have affected the confidence of their players.

“You don’t know what you’re going to get from sides after such disappointments because you might get a positive response or it may have dented them.

“I’ll of course only be able to answer that at 5pm on Saturday night, but regardless of how they’re feeling the big thing about the weekend is how we go about it.

“They’re are a very pure football team and there’s no doubt that they can hurt you. When we beat them 5-1 this season we got our press bang on and were very clinical.

“When you watch the game back it’s probably been the match this season where we’ve been most clinical with our opportunities.

“We have to be positive again and the weekend will be no different. We have to score goals if we’re going to survive and we’ve worked hard on our attacking play this week.”
