All at Fleetwood Town are immensely disappointed after relegation to League Two was confirmed on Saturday.
The past year has been incredibly tough for everyone involved at Fleetwood Town Football Club, and on the pitch results and performances have simply not been good enough resulting in the current club being relegated for the first time in history.
While relegation will prove to be a set-back in the short-term, many people are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to ensure the long-term stability of Fleetwood Town Football Club. We hope to be able to make positive announcements in the very near future.
Finally, we’d like to thank the patience and support of our fans during this difficult year, it would have been easy for you to doubt, walk away or turn your backs on your club – but that isn’t how the people of Fleetwood work.
The doubled down unwavering support of the club this year will never be forgotten. Now we have to do everything we can to ensure the 2023/24 season is the ONLY time in the club’s history we suffer an EFL relegation.
Thank you for sticking by us, we’ll be back!
