Fleetwood Town’s Former Players Association (FPA) were back on Thursday morning with around 50 members turning up to yet another successful meeting at Poolfoot Farm!

FPA Chairman Stuart Murdoch and Secretary opened up the meeting at 10am as everyone got their cups of tea and coffee and listened to the birthdays for the next months as well as any announcements the FPA had to proclaim.

It was a brilliant talk followed that up from Roy Whitehouse as he talked about his footballing career – including an interesting story about a frozen pitch at Barrow and a ripped pair of shorts – and then went on to talk about his tennis career after.

The highlight of his later years was when he travelled to La Manga, Spain with Lancashire for the European Tennis Championships, where they faced the best teams in Europe.

The FPA would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting and wanted to say that they look forward to seeing you at Poolfoot Farm once again on Thursday 7 April at 10am.
